The Post Gazette has an article on Kuwata being the Elvis of PCR Day. A very nice article, actually makes me hope he makes it to Pittsburgh for at least one start. The media frenzy, from Japan, would be huge if they used him as the opening day starter. Don't get any ideas DL!!!

The Tribune Review does a courtesy write up on PCR Day. They actually have a bigger write up on Albert Pujols. I hope their interest grows in the coming days and weeks.

MDA Stride and Ride

This will be one of my rare posts that is personal in nature, unless you are a Nutting, McClatchy or Littlefield. Do not feel pressured to help, I just want to give an opportunity to you all to participate.

I will be walking in the MDA Stride & Ride event here in Iowa on February 24th, 2007, at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville. MDA has provided a secure web page for donations to help me make my goal. Please, if you can, sponsor me in my walk. This is a good cause and I will appreciate any help you give.

Looking for a job in baseball?

I thought this was very cool. Stumbled on this link on the Pirates website. If you would like to get into the wonderful world of sports, the Pirates have some job openings. Unfortunately General Manager is not one of them.

IF I still lived near Pittsburgh, I definitely would apply. If any of you score a job, let me know. I love doing a public service and will be very envious.
