The Pirates acquired Denny Bautista from the Tigers for Minor League reliever Kyle Pearson. The Pirates also unconditionally released injured outfielder Kevin Thompson from the 40 man roster. According to the PG article, a corresponding move will be made tomorrow on the 25 man roster to make room for Bautista.
BTW Take:
Osoria has been brutal, I would look for him to be released or sent to Indy. If not Osoria, T.J. Beam could be sent back to Indy.

If neither JVB nor Herrera get a call-up, Sean Burnett may get a chance to start in Phil Dumatraits absence.
