The Good:
- Bixler was 2 for 3 with a run scored
- Walker was 2 for 2 with an RBI playing 1B?
- Bautista was 1 for 2 with a run scored
- Kuwata had a perfect inning with 2 K's
- Simpson, Kolb, Osoria and Gryboski has scoreless innings
- Pirate pitchers only allowed 1 HR
- Grabow allowed 2 earned runs in 1 inning pitched
- Chacon allowed 2 runs in 2 innings pitched
The Ugly:
- Herrera was scorched for 5 runs, 4 earned, in 1 inning pitched
The Pirates could lose all 30 Spring Training games as long as everyone stays healthy and the team wins some in the real season.
Herrera can be excused for his bad outing, this is his first taste of competitive baseball in 2 years. The Reds are slightly better than the Manatee Community College Lancers.
