Dan Kolb?

The Pirates have made an offer to Dan Kolb. There are two other teams believed to have made an offer. Kolb is a former All-Star with Milwaukee. The last couple seasons he has struggled until posting good numbers after the 2006 All-Star Game. He made $2M last season and is believed to be looking for a one year contract and a guarantee to be on the 40 man..

BTW Take:
This has the makings of a DL reclamation project. At 32, Kolb is not old and could be insurance for a bullpen that does not have a ton of experience. Overall the deal could make sense and may be a good risk at the right price. I am not sold on the idea of signing Kolb, but I can't make a good case against either.
