Brian Lawrence wants to compete for a rotation spot right away, wants a one year deal, wants to stay on the west coast, near his home.
The Pirates would let him compete right away, offered a one year deal with the most $$$ attached, located on the east coast.
It is a good fit, outside of location for Pittsburgh. We all know location is everything. Seattle is offering an opportunity to compete for the starting rotation according to Rotoworld. Colorado, the team Lawrence want to sign with, wants a team option for 2008. San Diego has only offered a minor league deal.
BTW Take:
Look for Lawrence to sign with Seattle. Why can't DL move the city to the West Coast? He needs to be fired!
